can you give me 6-8-10 photos of the last event?  I'll then do all of the rest?  what I can't do is sift through 1,000 photos.  You make the decisions and I'll do the copy.   Let's not make this too complex.  In the world we live in today, speed is more important than anything else.

We are beyond the world of Karen writing a story two weeks after the event.  Pick out some shots, send them to me and I'll do the rest.   We should be able to post by Monday or Tuesday.

I would also like to talk to you about how we can maximize the value and impact of your photos for you/CFTA.  I've got some ideas.  You know me and ideas....

Hi, Randy -

That would be fine, but I will need some things included.

First, I always need the header information, in more or less this format:

Official Name of the Series
Round #: Venue
Byline (Story by)*
Photos by* (and if there’s more than one photographer, I need to know who took which pictures)
DATELINE: CITY, STATE and DATE of the event.

(*Note: Since this will be a pictorial article, if you don’t want a writer’s byline, you can simply say “Photos and Captions by...”)

Second, there should be at least one introductory paragraph – just the basic “What, where, when and who” and perhaps a highlight or two mentioned.

Third, the photo captions should make clear who’s who in each photo (by rider number, or left to right, etc.) and a short description of the action – such as which race or class is depicted, etc...

And last, as you mentioned, the results.

We can run these as “Snapshots from...” pictorial articles.

Any questions, just give me a call at <a href="tel:949%2F363-3898" value="+19493633898" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" link="external">949/363-3898..!

David,

I am no longer working with Karen Gould and I do not have a replacement writer.

Would you accept a pictorial w/the photos labeled and the results?    I think it might have about as much appeal or more than an article.   But, that's your call.

I hope you had a fine weekend.

Carol
I wish Lacey's health was better, I miss him being at the races....Yes I will look tonight.  I got practice done, but I have been workin the last couple of nights on a list of my concerns for my department for when we do the re alignment with woodland college.  I'll be gone all day leaving at 6am probably won't be home until 6 or 7.  We have to go to woodland for convocation...
